Privacy policy

BidMyJob collects only what it needs to run the service: your name, email, postcode (to match you with local jobs), and the content you post — jobs, bids, messages and reviews.

What's public

• Jobs show your first part of postcode (e.g. LS8) and town — never your full address or postcode.
• Your profile shows your name, town, bio, skills and reviews.
• Your phone number and email are only shared with the other party after a bid is accepted.

Emails

We send transactional emails (verification, bids, messages, job alerts). You can switch each type off in Settings, except account security emails.

Cookies & analytics

With your consent (the banner you see on first visit), we use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set — the site works exactly the same either way. You can change your mind by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.

Your data

You can delete your account from Settings at any time, which removes your profile, jobs, bids and messages. Postcode lookups use the public postcodes.io service; only the postcode itself is sent to it.
